As a part of the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds of H.R. 1319 American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (CSLRF) the Town of Plymouth has been awarded $1,071,142 in grant funds. In January, the Final Rule was issued for the grants by the U.S. Treasury and these rules go into effect on April 1, 2022. The Final Rule in many ways simplifies the compliance aspects of the grant and also expands the purposes for which the grant funds may be used; however, there are still substantial regulatory requirements associated with the grant. The challenge facing the Town Council is to determine how it wishes to use the ARP funds.
