Through a combination of in-house personnel and contract services, this Department is charged with the responsibility of keeping lights burning, HVAC systems functioning, exteriors and interiors painted, plumbing working, buildings cleaned, and structural integrity maintained for Town-owned properties. The Building and Grounds employees work to ensure the proper management and maintenance of all Town facilities and departments, as well as support and deliver general municipal services. Whether its an in-house renovation or building project, preventative maintenance to buildings or fixed generators, cleaning buildings, cleaning streets in the downtown business district, or assisting another department, the Building and Grounds Department are ready for the task.
